Find it before you dig. Fix it when it fails.
811 marks the utility's lines up to the meter. We find everything past it: shop and barn feeds, well pumps, outbuildings, pool circuits and yard lights. If a buried line has failed, we find the break, dig it up and fix it.
Locating
We trace private lines and mark them with paint or flags before you or your contractor dig. Large farm and commercial sites are quoted by the day.
Fault finding
Lost power to a shop or well? We test the line, trace the route and pinpoint the break. If you book the repair on the same visit, part of the fault-finding cost goes toward it.
Excavate & repair
We dig down to about 4 ft, install a direct-bury splice kit, test the insulation and rough backfill. If a splice won't hold, we trench and run new conductor.
Good to know
- Call 811 first. We locate private lines only. We don't replace the free utility locate.
- Plastic lines without tracer wire can't be traced electronically. That includes most PVC water and septic lines, and some gas lines.
- Depths are estimates. Hand-dig carefully near any mark.
- Restoration is rough grade. Sod, concrete and asphalt repair are quoted separately.
